Just back from Risoul - the hottest I've ever known it it mid-March! We were in shirt-sleeves out on the terrace at the Homme de Pierre restaurant - that's the highest on the Risoul side, and has the most spectacular view - highly recommended. It must have been + 25 degrees on a windless afternoon. What a change from February, just a month before, when we struggled even to reach the restaurant from the ski-lift (only 40 metres away), in the face of a fearsome head-wind, blowing ice crystals into our faces like shards of glass, in a temperature of - 25!!
